About Ann
Ann Gadzikowski is an award-winning author and educator with a passion for nurturing children’s creativity and curiosity. Ann’s book Robotics for Young Children won the Midwest Book Award for Best Educational Book and Creating a Beautiful Mess won gold in the National Parenting Publications Awards. Ann’s newest book Every Drop Counts: Exploring Water Science with Young Children in the Age of Climate Change will be published by Gryphon House in November 2025.
A graduate of the Erikson Institute, Ann has many years of experience as a teacher and director of early childhood programs. Ann developed expertise in STEM learning through her role as early childhood coordinator for Northwestern University’s Center for Talent Development. Ann served as a curriculum director and executive editor for Encyclopedia Britannica where she led the creation of family resources including Britannica for Parents. She is a frequent speaker at events such as the annual conference of the National Association for the Education of Young Children. She also teaches early childhood education courses at Oakton College. Currently, Ann serves as director of Families Together Cooperative Nursery School in Chicago.
